Reader is an independently developed application. Privacy is not a compliance checkbox here — it is a design principle. This policy explains what data is handled and how.

This Website

The Reader website at reader.imsarkie.in is a static product showcase.

No account creation is required to browse this site.
No advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts are intentionally included.
Standard hosting infrastructure may log basic access data (IP address, request timestamps) as part of normal web server operation. This data is not used for profiling or sold to third parties.

The Reader App

Local-First Data Storage

Reader is designed local-first. The following data is stored on your device:

Your RSS feed subscriptions and folder structure
Saved articles and their full content
Highlights and annotations
Reading state (read/unread) and progress
Your personal settings and preferences

This data is not transmitted to Reader’s servers for primary functionality. It stays on your device.

Sync (if applicable)

If sync features are used to keep reading state consistent across devices, the minimum necessary data is transmitted over an encrypted connection. Sync data is not analyzed, profiled, or shared with third parties.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app uses platform notification services (Apple APNs / Google FCM) to deliver them. These services operate under Apple’s and Google’s respective privacy policies.

No Sale of Personal Data

Reader does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party, ever.

No Advertising

Reader does not display ads and has no advertising SDK. There is no financial incentive to collect behavioral data.
