About Reader

Reader Icon

Reader is a premium, beautifully crafted RSS reader and read-later app built with Flutter. It was created for people who believe that reading deserves better than the attention-hijacking defaults of the modern web.

The Story

I built Reader because I was frustrated. Every news app I tried felt designed to keep me scrolling rather than help me actually read anything. The feeds were overwhelming, the notifications were relentless, and the interfaces were cluttered with engagement mechanics I never asked for.

I wanted something different — an app that felt like a well-designed book, not a social media dashboard. Something calm, intentional, and genuinely pleasurable to use every day.

Reader is that app. It is built around a single conviction: reading time is precious, and software should defend it, not exploit it.

Design & Craft

Reader is not just functional — it is carefully crafted. Every detail has been considered:

The aesthetic draws direct inspiration from high-end editorial design: generous whitespace, restrained color, and a deep respect for the reader’s eyes.

Built on Flutter

Reader is built entirely with Flutter, giving it smooth, native-quality rendering on every supported platform. The fluid card swipes, graceful transitions, and consistent 60fps experience are only possible because Flutter renders every frame directly — no web-view compromises.

Who It’s For

Reader is for discerning readers — professionals, researchers, writers, and curious minds who:

If you have ever wished your reading app felt as good as the articles inside it, Reader was made for you.

Independence

Reader is independently developed and maintained. There are no investors optimizing for engagement metrics, no advertising business model, and no incentive to compromise on the experience. Premium subscriptions from users who love the app fund continued development — that is the entire model.

This independence is a feature. It means every decision is made in service of the reader.

Get in Touch

Feedback, ideas, and thoughtful criticism are always welcome. Reader is shaped by the people who use it every day.
